Dish Network service is a product of EchoStar Communications Corporation of Englewood Colorado. EchoStar was the first company to offer a satellite receiver for less than $200. They were the first nationwide installation network exclusively devoted to satellite television service. EchoStar was the first satellite TV company to offer local channels in all 50 states.

Dish Network offers several different, affordable packages. Dish Network packages start at $19.99 a month. The Dish Network America's Everything Pak includes over 230 channels. All premium movie channels, such as HBO, Showtime and Starz are included. This package currently costs $89.99 per month.

Dish Network has several packages of HD programming: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Dish HD programming requires a special HD receiver.

If you don't want to be tied down to a contract or monthly bill, Dish Network now has a Pre-Paid plan. Dish Network is America's first pre-paid television service. It works just like a pre-paid cell phone. Pre-Paid plans do not require a credit card or a social security number. The Pre-Paid plan let's anyone get satellite television.

Dish DVRs integrate the features of a DVR into a satellite receiver. Their DVRs allow you to pause and rewind live TV. Once recorded, you can fast forward through recorded commercials.

To provide you with entertainment on the go, Dish Network has recently introduced Pocket Dish. Pocket Dish is a video, music, game and photo device that is small enough to fit in your pocket. Transfer up to 20 hours of programming from a Dish Network DVR straight to this device and take it anywhere. Storage capacity on this device is large enough to hold up to 10,000 MP3, WMA or WAV music files organized with cover art and play lists. Pocket Dish has a 4" LCD screen.

Dish Network has partnered with WildBlue to offer satellite-delivered high-speed internet access. Satellite-delivered internet is ultra-high speed. Dish Network will also assist you in locating DSL service, if you prefer it to satellite internet.
